Fruit Diseases Updates:

Peach Bacterial Spots. Bacterial spot of stone fruit trees, caused by Xanthomonas campestris subsp. pruni, was observed in several peach orchards in central and southern Illinois. Almost all fruit in one orchard were infected, some severely. Considering that Illinois weather conditions are conducive for development of this disease, effective spray programs must be practiced to control this disease.
