Seed Treatment for Control of Seedling Death of Pumpkin Caused by Phytophthora capsici

Phytophthora blight, caused by Phytophthora capsici, is a very serious disease on cucurbit crops in Illinois, as well as worldwide. The pathogen causes seedling death, foliar blight, and fruit rot. A seed treatment procedure has been developed to prevent seedling death of pumpkins caused by P. capsici. This procedure may be applied to prevent seedling death of other cucurbit crops caused by P. capsici. For more information, please click here.
