I. Apple Diseases
in Illinois - Scab
and Fire Blight Scab, caused by Venturia inaequalis, and fire blight, caused by Erwinia amylovora, are two major spring diseases of apples in Illinois. Early season control of theses diseases is essential for preventing yield losses.
