I. Bacterial Spot of Cucurbits

Bacterial spot of cucurbits was observed in several pumpkin fields throughout Illinois during past 10 days. Both leaf infection and fruit infection have already been detected. This disease could cause signihis yield losses in moist condition. Disease control practices should begin from the time of fruit set. Spray-applications of copper at weeklty intervals is the best available control method of this disease. For more information on bacterial spot of cucurbits, click here.
