Crop Diversity in Illinois

There are several field crops (soybean, corn, wheat, barley, sorghum, alfalfa, tobacco, grsses), more than 64 vegetables, 15 fruit crops, and four nut crops (crops). Also, and many ornamentals are commercially grown in Illinois. Illinois has diverse climate and soil type and is suitable for production of more than 400 crops.
